I love to explore the world and create new ideas, inspire people, and try to make the most out of things. I try to find happiness in life especially when things start to get miserable, stressful, or just plain boring. I love the art of life. Art is my passion. I love to draw ever since I was a little girl. My passion for it never fades and just grows into something wonderful each and everyday. It helped me a lot in my design career and hopefully it will forever. ♥ ü
I also have interest in baking and Italian cooking. ;> I tend to experiment sometimes in creating a dish that I'd love to eat! ;D Haha ;))
I also love adventures! ;D Going to different places and doing new or interesting and fun stuff really makes my day! ;D I love to be with nature through hiking, river trekking, and hopefully will try some extreme sports someday. ;D hehehe ;p ;)
Filipino designer creates World’s 1st Biodegradable car
World renowned Filipino product designer Kenneth Cobonpue has created the world’s first and only biodegrable car made out of bamboo and rattan called the Phoenix.
Cobonpue is known for his signature designs using natural fibres and materials. The Phoenix is his latest venture in partnership with design apprentice Alberth Birkner which is created using rattan, steel, bamboo and nylon. Showcased for the first time at the “Imagination and Innovation” exhibit at Milan, the Phoenix is a testament of high quality craftsmanship to create an environmental friendly solution to transport.
This is what I’ve been waiting for!!! :D I’ve seen it while it was under construction as featured on the television by Kenneth Cobonpue. I really love his designs and his creativity and the innovation of his masterpiece and works of art. Really fascinating and cool, I would say. Great work indeed! Well, I don’t want to say work because it really is not work. It is something out of a passion. Keep it up! I hope to visit his gallery or studio in Cebu someday or maybe just all of his works. Haha! :P I am proud to be a Filipina. ;)
This chair by Filipino Designer Kenneth Cobunpue was one of the winners of the highest design recognition in Asia by grabbing the Design For Asia Award way back in 2005. Its simple but impressive sculptural form and the use of indigenous materials was praised by the judges. What’s amazing is that the chair was lined with the products of prominent designers like Sony, Nokia and Vivienne Tam.
Buri (palm leaf spines) or abaca are hand woven on a steel frame and tied with abaca rope creating a cozy cocoon where dreams are revealed. Also available in an outdoor version in polyethylene and steel. -Kenneth Cobonpue
I like Kenneth Cobonpue’s pieces of furniture! ;D He has unique, modern, genius designs and creativity in designing and crafting furniture. His techiques are innovative. It is actually inspired by his homewtown Cebu and his mother’s designs in making rattan. He studied abroad, had experiences in his field, went back to Cebu, created his art and gained a lot of recognition here and abroad.
Brad Pitt actually sleeps in his Kenneth Cobonpue bed same as above.
His works just look so natural, comfortable, unique and amazing! His works were also featured in Urban Zone. I love it! :D Go urbanistas! ;)
