Spontaneous much! Shopping at 168 Shopping Mall and Divisoria Night Market with Alayne and Karen. :) Too fun to be with an expert in Divisoria Alayne San Pedro and a first timer Karen Baluyot! :D Since we weren’t able to feel that it was really too late to go home (not until Alayne’s mom called), we stayed at San Pedro’s residence in Tondo where we talked all night (actually I slept and the two didn’t) :)) But ‘twas fun really! Thanks, friends! :D Thanks also to Alayne’s family for letting us stay there! :D

MS. PHILIPPINES EARTH 2012

The new title holder of Ms. Philippines Earth, Stephany Dianne Stefanowitz was crowned by last year’s winner, Athena Mae Imperial.

Quezon City lass crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2012

A 22-year-old designer, freelance model, host and singer from Quezon City was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2012 at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasig City on Sunday. Stephany Stefanowitz bested 46 other candidates who represented municipalities, cities and provinces in the country, as well as Filipino communities outside the Philippines.

A second-timer at the prestigious pageant, Stefanowitz will represent the country in the Miss Earth 2012 pageant, which will be held in Indonesia in October. She will also serve as ambassador to environmental protection campaigns in the country.

Stefanowitz was crowned Sunday by last year’s winner, Athena Mae Imperial. She also got the Best in Evening Gown award.

Crowned as Miss Philippines Water, meanwhile, was Samantha Purvor, 24, a Sports Sciences student from the University of the Philippines who represented San Juan City.

Purvor also won the Best in Swimsuit award, as well as Miss Zenea Slimming and Body Sculpting, Miss Extraderm, Miss Pontefino Residences, and Miss Gandang Ricky Reyes.

The Miss Philippines Air title went to Glennifer Perido, a 22-year-old nursing graduate from Tabuk City. She was also named Miss Redfox, Best in Resort Wear, and Miss Golden Sunset.

Miss Philippines Fire was Thoreen Halvorsen, 19, tourism student from Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. She also won the Miss Prime Med special award.

Named Miss Philippines Eco Tourism was 24 years old Mary Candice Ramos, a fourth year Bachelor of Science Tourism Management student of the University of the Philippines. She represented Vigan City.

Runners up were Glenna Christina Duch, 18, Business Management student from Silliman University in Negros Oriental; Roxanne Corluy, 20, of Belgium-Filipino Community; Princess Lieza Manzon, 25, model and actress from San Francisco, Cebu; Jaydielou Dilidili, 24, admin and human resource manager from Indang, Cavite; and Kathleen Subijano, 24, a lifestyle columnist from Muntinlupa City.

The other candidates who received special awards were: Miss Pagadian City Cristelt Gerona (Miss Photogenic-Ever Bilena); Miss Marilao, Bulacan Aufelyn Zabalanoypistuff (Miss Talent); Miss Lucena City Jennifer Edytha Japor (Miss Friendship); Miss Marilao, Bulacan Aufelyn Zabala (Miss Beverly Hills 6750); Miss Kawit, Cavite Reveleen Carandang (Miss New Placenta); and Miss Batangas City Queenie Uy (Miss Pontefino Hotel).

The coronation night Sunday was hosted by Marc Nelson, Rovilson Fernandez and Ginger Conejero.(Sunnex)
